Activities:

  • Management of the multiple tasks of the teams and promotion of the cooperation among the different working groups
  • Definingtheshort-termgoals andtime frames as well as monitoring the implementation of the project
  • Monitoring the financial planning
  • Administrating the project (official transactions)

Outcomes:

  • Interim reports on the project progress and results (reports will be publicized at the end of each year as well as upon request of the foundation manager).
  • Final report on the overall results of the project.

Duration: 5 months (01/07/16 – 30/11/16)

Activities:

  • Evaluation of the previous work on the research topic (literature review)
  • Selection of the members that will recruit the peripheral working groups
  • Training of the researchers in field-work methods
  • Organising meetings between the core team members and the peripheral working groups

Outcomes:

  • Annotated bibliography

Duration: 4 months (01/08/16 – 30/11/16)

Activities

  • Selection of the precise local communities
  • Recruitment of the key informants for fieldwork
  • Training of the graduate students and local members from Greek-Canadian communities in software tools
  • Publicizing the project’s mid-/long term goals
  • Re-adjustment of the project objectives (if necessary)

  • Oral data collection
  • Written data collection
  • Digitization of the written material

Outcomes:

  • Dataset of raw oral and written data
  • Preliminary version of the archive of written material

Activities:

  • Evaluation and classification of the (oral and written) data into a corpus
  • Ethnolinguistic metadata mark-up

Outcomes:

  • Organized corpus accompanied by ethnolinguistic metadata
  • Final version of the archive of the written material

  • Selection of the representative sample
  • Design of the questionnaires (see methodology)
  • Administering the questionnaire
